Oops
It would appear Airport Extreme does not support USB harddisks that have RAID.

1 TB of data storage - MWAH-HA-HA-HA
On Monday the 1Tb harddisk arrived (finally). So I now have 1Tb of data storage. OK its only really 500Gb as I've used the RAID1 option. Thought it would probably be best that way 'cos I have so many photo's these days. Have now moved all the relevent data from the 160Gb network drive. Thus it is nearly ready to connect to my (also new) Airport Extreme. Lets see if network drives work better via its so called Instant drive sharing feature, because, lets face it, Mac OS X and network drives is a bit shite.
〈rant〉I mean why do I have to re-mount them everytime I bring the thing out of hibernation? Why do I have to fiddle in the preferences so they mount on logon? Why? Why? Why? Everything else about OS X is pretty damn fine. My work PC runs like a pile of shit compared, well I think it would run like that compared with most PCs but that is beside the point.〈/rant〉
And hopefully sometime today (if UPS get the correct address this time) the Apple TV will arrive and I can setup a souper media centre thing. Oh this is all so geeky.
Ministry of Sound
Went to the ministry last saturday with some friends. It was slightly on the chav side at first but got better about 1am. Lasted until 4 or 5am. alotgether quite a good night. drank far too much vodka/redbull and couldn't get to sleep for ages.
Also felt shit the next day. That kind of shit like when you've been on the disco biscuits, except I hadn't. Hows that?

My day at work;
- Write a business case for having a desk (true!).
- Take laptop into support to get fixed.
- Get problem diagnosed as "you haven't had a rebuild for over a year." - what!!?!?!?
- Take about 40mins to logon due to network* issues and copy all the stuff I want to keep.
- Leave laptop with support - "it'll take about 4hrs mate"
- Have coffee with colleague and catch up on goss.
- Eat lunch somewhere else.
- Go to an exhibition at the NPG.
- Collect laptop.
- Install SP2 and sundry other updates - the image they use is v.v.old.
Sometimes I wonder if i've wondered into a Kafka novel.
* I can't even begin to go into the irony of this, considering I work for a telecom.

Snowboarding in St Anton
Where I was last week. Though the weather was the greatest. Managed to discover why my feet are alsways in pain; high arches. So had moulded soles done and snowboarding was so much easier and less painful. Just wish I'd sorted that little problem out earlier in the week. More photo's at flickr.
